Hotels and Office Buildings

Hotels

New system designs provide low-cost trash and soiled linen collection and management for both small and large hotels. Using the same technology that evacuates trash and soiled linen from large hospital complexes, these systems effectively collect trash and soiled linen from small 200 room to giant 4,000 room hotels.

Office Buildings

Business offices generate tons of waste paper and packaging daily.  Large office complexes can be quickly and efficiently evacuated of all office waste, recycling up to four (4) different materials.

The advantages of automatic collection systems in hotels and office buildings are:

•    Significantly reduces housekeeping costs.

•    Improves economic return versus conventional waste and soiled linen collection techniques.

•    Minimizes hall and elevator traffic.

•    No overflowing trash bins in the halls, street or in alleys.

•    No noisy trucks driving near the hotel on office building, emptying trash bins and disturbing guests and tenants during the night or day.

•    No odiferous trash near guests and tenants.

•    Environmentally superior.

A Pneulogix® system automatically and invisibly collects trash and soiled linen from each floor of a hotel.  Housekeeping time is significantly reduced.  Hall and elevator traffic is minimized.

Low Cost by Design

The Pneulogix® system employs a new concept in its computer-controlled operation to routinely save operating costs and boost system efficiency.  Using the latest, state-of-the-art processors and specially designed software, the system senses multiple users and methodically collects extraordinarily large amounts of material in a short time period.  During peak use periods, the system outperforms any other trash collection system available, lowering costs and eliminating waiting time.

The control system also senses activity level and adjusts its operation to meet specific user demand.  When activity is low, the system ramps down to a low operating level, saving energy costs.  When activity is high, the system automatically operates at an efficient level, balancing its work with the unique demand of intake points throughout the hospital.

The net result of these innovative features is higher efficiency and lower costs.

Typical Components

  • 18” x 18” stainless steel intake doors, with electric interlocks, located throughout the hotel.
  • Stainless steel soiled linen and trash collecting pipes to transport linen to the laundry and trash to the compactor.
  • A small, central machine room with high efficiency ventilators to generate moving air. .
  • Disk-type air control valves located throughout system to manage air flow.
  • Air particulate filter to clean collecting air before venting to the environment.
  • High ratio trash compactors and containers to hold trash for truck pick up.
  • Low-impact linen collectors in the laundry to receive and deposit laundry into the work area.
  • Control processor and software for operating and monitoring system.
  • Small area required for central collection area.
